USB Memory Stick Loading Issues
Since the start of Semester One 2009 we have had continued issues with some students personal USB Memory Sticks requesting an administrator log in on the computer.
We are working to resolve this issue - but if you do come across it in the meantime we have 3 work arounds which could get you access to your device if it won't load properly. Please click through for more details:

Office 2007 help
This year the student computers will be running Office 2007. Here is some help for those of us who know Office 2003 but are new to Office 2007.

We will NEVER ask for your password
Due to a spate of spam coming onto campus requesting usernames and passwords - we want to remind students that we will NEVER ask for your username and password.
If you ever receive an email requesting such details, please delete the message. If anyone ever asks for it over the phone or in person, report them to the nearest staff or call security on 5000.

- University Computing has details about the services available to you in the general access computer areas on campus.
- The Handbook and Maps section contains maps to computer areas and wireless access and an online copy of the Semester 2 2008 Student Computing Handbook, There are free copies availible in the Central Library and in all main computer areas.
- Online Resources has information on the web-based resources available to you both at the university and at home. Direct links are available in our header (top of the page).
- TipSheets are a collection of commonly asked questions (and answers) for popular software packages like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Free to download/print.
